While riding the plane, a thousand miles away in the depth of the sky
A home away from home, to where I was headed
Sitting high above a cloud-what I saw was eternity to my eyes
But why I’m going still seems to be unreal

A place where I’m rooted
I keep my hopes up for this beautiful strange country
That I call home
Hearts pounding like a mad machine

An elevated feeling gave me this nauseous feeling
But declination of this elevation made me feel worse
Deserted in my thoughts- I had tears in my eyes,
Waiting to flow upon my command,
Simply I just stared at the clouds
Blankly
I had to take care of my momma and be strong

Although away from this country that are deeply rooted in my veins
as I am ‘Indian’,
My important and vestigial family lived here
A pit stop at Dubai gave us the final call
The reason for our trip lived solely on shriving hope

A dream to meet this man
That came to my dreams advising me
A period of 6 years awaited till this moment
A second of tragedy shattered my heart.
